SALT LAKE CITY -- A group of cowboys in lime green shirts and shiny cowboy hats are traveling the country to raise awareness for mental illness.
The group calls themselves The Blinking Cowboys, and they are traveling to all 50 states during their "Country Stomps Out Stigma" campaign.
The group primarily visits country music events, where they talk to concert goers about the importance of understanding mental illness issues and the ways to help loved ones who suffer from them.
Matthew Prisco, The Blinking Cowboys, said they try to start discussions on the important issue.
"It’s been very rewarding,” he said. “We've had the chance to talk with a lot people when we're at the different events that we go to, and hearing stories and just sharing experiences and trying to start a discussion about this cause and find out who within the country music community is passionate about it."
