HEBER CITY — An oil tanker overturned on Highway 40 near Heber City Monday morning, spilling crude oil on the roadway.
It happened around 9 a.m., twelve miles west of Heber. The tanker truck was crossing the median in an area of the road normally reserved for emergency vehicles to make U-turns, according to Dwayne Baird from the Utah Highway Patrol.
The truck collided with a Jeep, but no one was injured.
The crash forced temporary closures of the eastbound lanes, but all lanes were open again shortly before 1 p.m.
