CACHE COUNTY, Utah — A father and his two sons were rescued after getting lost in the Wellsville Mountains Monday.
The father took his children, ages 5 and 9 hiking and camping Sunday night. On their way back down the mountain, the group went off the trail and became lost.
Search and rescue crews started looking for the hikers at noon. Crews came contact with the father and his sons later Monday afternoon.
The three hikers were airlifted out of the area and are safe, officials said.
