SALT LAKE CITY — It was military appreciation night at the Utah Blaze game Saturday night, and at half-time more than 20 young men and women reaffirmed their commitment to serve in the armed forces.
The half-time ceremony was one of the largest military inductions in the state; 21 individuals were administered the Oath of Enlistment at the game as part of the delayed entry program.
Blaze owner Kim Brown said they were happy to host the ceremony.
“How grateful I am for what they’re doing, and how much I appreciate the sacrifices they are making for us,” she said. “They’re pretty amazing people, so thank you!”
Those who took the oath Saturday were from all across Utah, and they ranged in age from 17 to 23.
