SALT LAKE CITY — An agreement has been made by Salt Lake County to stop more people from being dropped from Valley Mental Health.
Valley Mental Health began sending letters to what they call “low risk patients” telling them they would be transferred to other clinicians because funding had been cut by $5 million.
Approximately 730 patients received a letter. An agreement reached Monday will allow 120 patients to stay.
Valley Mental Health’s original plan included dropping about 2,200 consumers. The county says this agreement will decrease that number.
Patients can call 801-982-3036 for more information on thetransition plan.
