HERRIMAN, Utah — Herriman Mayor Joshua E. Mills announced Monday that he will resign from his position as mayor.
According to a press release, Mills’ current job has made it difficult for him to put the time and attention needed into fulfilling his mayoral responsibilities.
“The people of Herriman deserve to have a mayor that is better able to attend to the needs of Herriman,” Mills said in a press release.
MIlls has served as Mayor since 2010.
According to Herriman City Council, a local registered voter who meets the qualifications for office will fill Mills’ unexpired term until January, following a municipal election.
