SALT LAKE CITY – Corporations and clients of the Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center teamed up for their fifth annual PARC Pallet Race Friday.
There were no winners or losers in the races, just a lot of fun for everyone involved.
The center places disabled adults in jobs in the community, and Friday’s race is part of the center’s efforts to change people’s perceptions about people with disabilities.
Chad Miller of PARC said they work to help those with disabilities achieve more independence.
"This is a partnership between our community partners and sponsorships to bring awareness to the abilities of people with disabilities,” he said. “At PARC we employe people and place them in the community that have significant disabilities, and we find them that independence and that help."
