VERNAL, Utah – Two youth football coaches are accused of assaulting a rival coach after a game last Saturday.

Police officials said the incident began when the coaches went to shake hands after a game, which was held at Vernal High School.

Officials said that’s when Equator Mamea and Johnny Hamilton allegedly hit the other coach. Both men were cited and released.

The two were not booked into jail. The mug shots of the men are from prior incidents.

The game was for 5th and 6th grade players.
