RIVERDALE, Utah – Police are asking for the public’s help identifying and finding a woman they say might be a serial shoplifter.

Police said the woman has been targeting beauty supply stores in several communities, and she most recently struck in Riverdale.

Detectives released surveillance video of the suspect, who is a black woman with black hair, in action at Ulta Beauty Supply, and they are hoping the public can help them find the woman. The video below shows the woman from several angles.

Lt. James Ebert of the Riverdale Police Department said the suspect has struck at several such stores during the past few months.

"We're looking at multiple stores being hit by the same female,” Ebert said. “She hit this store for approximately $1,500, and we're looking at over $5,000 worth of merchandise that was lost."

Police said the suspect is believed to be between 18 and 25 years old, and they said she may be reselling stolen merchandise online.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the thefts is asked to contact Riverdale police at 801-394-6616.
