Posted

PROVO, Utah – Provo is set to host its first pride festival Saturday morning, and on Friday night the Provo Pride Council hosted an interfaith service.

Officials with the Provo Pride Council said because there are so many LGBT youth being bullied and committing suicide, they wanted to hold an event that focused on acceptance.

The service began at 7 p.m. at the Provo Community United Church of Christ, located at 175 North University Ave.

The pride festival in Provo will take place at Memorial Park from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
