- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 scallions, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
- 3/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup olive olive
- No-Salt Seasoning and Pepper, to taste
Stir together soy and vinegar, agave or honey and sesame seeds in a bowl for dipping sauce. Set aside.
Combine turkey, egg, cilantro, scallions, sesame oil, no-salt seasoning and pepper.
Spread cornstarch in a shallow baking pan. With wet hands form turkey mixture into 1-inch balls, transferring them to baking pan as formed. Wash and dry your hands, then gently roll balls in cornstarch until coated. (Balls will be soft.)
Heat oil in a frying pan or skillet over moderately high heat. Cook the turkey bites for 6-8 minutes, turning over occasionally, until firm and golden. Cook all the way through. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Serve meatballs with dipping sauce.
