September is Suicide Prevention Month, and suicide is a major public health problem in Utah, where according to the Utah Department of Health 402 people die from suicide each year and more than 4,000 people make a suicide attempt.

Local author Mechelle McDermott came to the FOX 13 News studio to discuss her book, "When The Devil Comes to Visit." McDermott's book details her experiences with loved ones who committed suicide. She said the purpose of her book is to provide hope.
