(CNN) — A 5-year-old boy named Miles doesn’t know it yet, but he’s about to have a big day of crime fighting ahead of him.
On November 15, Miles — dressed as “Batkid” — will be asked to zoom around San Francisco, California, saving a damsel in distress and capturing a couple of bad guys.
This battle will be nothing for Miles, however, who is already fighting something much bigger — leukemia.
“He is a sunny, positive little boy and finds his inspiration in super heroes,” according to Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. When asked what was his wish, Miles surprised everyone by saying he wanted to be Batkid. Now, the non-profit organization has planned a fun-filled day for him as he “trains” with an adult “Batman.”
To start the day, Batkid will rescue a damsel who will be tied up on the Hyde Street cable car lines in Nob Hill. He’ll then go on to catch his nemesis, the Puzzler, as he attempts to rob a bank.
From there, Batkid will grab a little lunch. But before he gets too comfortable, he’ll get a special message from the chief of police, telling him to go to the window where he’ll see a huge group of volunteers — er, citizens — jumping up and down and asking for help because the villain “Mr. P.” has kidnapped a famous San Francisco mascot!
