Bigelow trumped Karen Lang in the open seat for the West Valley City mayor Tuesday night.
Unofficial numbers reported Bigelow garnered 4,406 votes while Lang, a city councilwoman, acquired 2,832 votes. There 25 write-in votes.
Bigelow will replace Mayor Mike Winder, who chose not to seek re-election.
