SALT LAKE CITY – More than 30 different species of cats strutted their stuff Saturday and Sunday at an annual cat show.
The Utah Cat Fanciers hosted the event with the help of local humane societies and no-kill shelters, and most of the animals featured were rescues.
The show featured cats in many categories. Bobbi Irie of the Utah Cat Fanciers said the kittens were all 4-months old or older.
"The reason why we start at four months is that’s when the kitty's immune system is all checked in and they’ve been able to have all their kitten shots, and they’re ready to go out into the public fully protected," she said.
