OGDEN, Utah –Strong winds in northern Utah changed a lot of plans Saturday, including the assignment for FOX 13 News’ Ashton Goodell.
FOX 13 News set out to cover a controversial issue under debate, but things took a turn as the winds increased.
A group of sniper shooters practice their skills in Waterfall Canyon, which Chris Petersen of UtahAdventureCenter.com said is safer than many daily use firing ranges. However, the team heading into the canyon ended up being buffeted by high winds Saturday.
Check out the video above as FOX 13 News’ Ashton Goodell follows a group of hikers up a unique trail as they encounter wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour. The climb is a via ferrata—which is like a ladder in a cliff. The term originated in Italy.
