- 8 waffles, homemade or store bought, defrosted
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 8 thin slices cooked ham
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
Lay the waffles out on the counter. In a small bowl, combine the mustard and honey.
Brush one side of each waffle with the mixture. Split the ham between each waffle and one piece of cheese.
Layer the other waffle (honey mustard inside) on top of each making 4 sandwiches.
Whisk the egg and milk together and place in a shallow pan or large bowl.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Dunk each waffle sandwich into the milk mixture and place in the pan.
Cook on each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cheese melts.
