UTAH COUNTY — A Utah Highway Patrol vehicle was hit Monday morning as a trooper was investigating a crash along I-15.
According to UHP, around 8:30 a.m. Trooper James Wright was investigating a single vehicle crash on I-15 near mile marker 274 when a pickup truck lost control and crashed into his patrol car.
Troopers said Wright was out of the patrol vehicle at the time of the crash, and he was uninjured. They said the woman driving the pickup truck was also uninjured.
The damage to the patrol car was significant, and it had to be towed.
