SALT LAKE CITY -- There was a candlelight vigil Tuesday night in West Valley City for a baby boy who was reportedly beaten by his mother’s live-in boyfriend, Monday afternoon.
One-year-old Xander was brought to Primary Children’s Medical Center Monday with severe head trauma. Brian Taylor, 24, was arrested on a charge of child abuse, a second-degree felony.
Xander is currently on life support. If the child dies, police will turn the incident into a homicide case.
