SEATTLE -- Utah's rally in the final minutes of the game against Washington came up short when a 3-point attempt by Delon Wright missed the mark, giving the Huskies a 59-57 win.
The Utes trailed by 59-50 with 1:54 to play, but a basket by Dallin Bachynski, followed by a dunk and a 3-pointer by Wright cut the Huskies' lead to 59-57 with 15 seconds to play. The Utes got the ball back with nine seconds left on the clock, but Wright's shot to win the game was no good.
The Utes got off to a terrible start, missing their first 11 shots from the field, and they made just one of their 15 3-point attempts.
Wright led the Utes with 27 points and 12 rebounds and Jordan Loveridge added 10 points. Former Pleasant Grove High School star C.J. Wilcox scored 14 for the Huskies.
The Utes fall to 12-3 overall and 1-2 in the PAC 12.
