WEST VALLEY CITY — Three men spent an hour cleaning out a West Valley City house of its electronics early Sunday morning during a home invasion robbery, police officials said.

The suspects, described as Polynesian, approached the home, located on the 5900 West block of Hellas Drive, between 4:30-5 a.m. and knocked on the door. One of the four residents answered.

When the man refused to let the suspects in, the victim was punched in the face — the three men walked into the house and rounded up the rest of the residents, said Lt. Dalan Taylor with West Valley City Police.

Although the men were not armed, Taylor said, they threatened the victims while they rummaged through the home.

As they left, the suspects reportedly stole one of the victim’s vehicles parked outside.

Taylor said the victims did not know the men. Aside from one of the residents being punched, there were no serious injuries.
