SALT LAKE CITY – A Salt Lake City man died after falling while on a cruise ship near Hawaii this week.
According to a press release from the Honolulu Police Department, the man was a guest on a cruise ship outside of Kona, Big Island, when he fell and sustained a head injury.
The victim fell on January 27, and on January 30 he was taken to Oahu medical facility for further treatment. The man passed away Saturday at about 10:33 p.m.. According to the press release, there were no signs of foul play.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to FOX 13 News that the deceased is 87-year-old James Harte of Salt Lake City.
