MURRAY — The Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute is hosting a free community health heart fair Saturday.
Experts will be available to talk about:
-The impact smoking has on the heart
-Exercises that improve heart health
-How too much sugar or salt affects the hearts ability to function
-Five numbers everyone should know: total cholesterol, blood pressure, fasting glucose, resting heart rate and C reactive protein.
Free health screenings will be available, including blood pressure, body fat testing and heart-risk assessments. Heart-healthy cooking demonstrations along with other heart-healthy activities will be shown at the event.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It will take place at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, 5121 S. Cottonwood St.
