SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah company recalls various beef jerky products because of misbranding and undeclared allergen, FDA officials stated Tuesday.
Prime Snax Incorporated, a Salt Lake City company, recalled approximately 90,000 pounds of beef jerky products because of the issue, stated the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service in a press release.
The products were processed with a releasing agent containing soy lecithin, a known allergen that was not declared on the label.
The health risk is low.
Products produced before Feb. 2 are subject to recall, officials stated. The jerky was shipped to retail locations nationwide.

3.5 oz./24 count packages of “Peppered Rippled Cut” and “Original Rippled Cut”
