Some scenes in the movie “Son of God” were deleted in an attempt to avoid controversy.
The controversy centers around the casting choice for the character of Satan. Some claim the actor, Mohamen Mehdi Ouzaani, was chosen to play Satan because he bears a physical resemblance to President Barack Obama.
According to a Los Angeles Times article, the filmmakers went out of their way to edit the devil’s scenes out of “Son of God,” which is based on the History Channel TV miniseries “The Bible.”
The History Channel released a statement denying any link between Obama and Satan.
