Man accused of starting SLC 4-alarm fire pleads not guilty

SALT LAKE CITY — The man accused of setting fire to a Salt Lake City building was indicted on an arson charge Thursday.

Dustin Jay Bowman pleaded not guilty during his appearance in federal court. He is accused of setting fire to an apartment building that was under construction in February.

Bowman faces a maximum of 20 years if he’s convicted. His trial has been set for May 12.
