MILLCREEK, Utah –Unified Police have taken a man into custody who caused a soft lockdown at Mill Creek Elementary School and the evacuation of nearby homes.
Unified Police believe the suspect, who is wanted in a domestic dispute situation, was barricaded in a nearby home.
Police said they were told the suspect fired a shot at some point during the dispute.
Fifty children were at the school because staff members have not been able to reach their parents.
School officials say students have all been released.
