WVC house fire sparks back up after being put out day before

Posted

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah -- A house fire in West Valley City sparked back up again Tuesday after crews thought they had it extinguished Monday.

It happened at a home under renovation near 6000 West and 4100 South. Fire crews had to block off both of those roads to get water from a hydrant to the home.

Crews said they were putting out a chimney fire at the home on Monday. Officials said they believe Tuesday's fire was started by an ember in the attic. They are still investigating the exact cause.

No one was injured in either fire.
