SALT LAKE CITY – A fatal shooting at a Utah courthouse Monday caused officials to put two Utah prisons on lockdownas a precaution, but by Thursday things had largely returned to normal at the facilities.
Prison officials said the Gunnison facility returned to normal Thursday morning, and the state prison in Draper was back to normal by 1:30 p.m., with the exception being the recreation yard and some programs.
Visitation at both facilities is set to resume Friday.
