SANPETE COUNTY, Utah — The Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office responded to Mayfield on a report of a possible attempted abduction Monday night.
The reporting party told deputies that while she was walking near a roadway a white passenger car stopped abruptly next to her, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver reportedly got out the car and pulled a gun – the victim was able to run away, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver of the suspected vehicle is possibly Caucasian with broad shoulders and about 6 feet tall.
The car has been described as a newer white passenger car, possibly four doors.
