SALT LAKE CITY -- In Tuesday’s ‘Booming Forward’ segment, Dave Nemeth talks with 50-year-old Jacki Munzel.
Formerly an ice skating star, Munzel’s dream of making the Olympic team fell short due to an eating disorder.
Decades later, having defeated her eating issues and married with a family, thoughts of what might have been haunted Munzel.
It wasn’t until after watching the 2010 Olympic speed skating competition that her daughter planted the seed that would bring Munzel’s return to the ice.
Munzel said she had always been a fast skater.
