Man found dead in car in South Salt Lake, police say

SOUTH SALT LAKE — One man was found dead in a car after reports of shots fired in South Salt Lake Monday evening, officials said.

At approximately 7:55 p.m. police responded to a suspicious circumstance in the area of 109 E. Helm Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, spokesman Gary Keller for South Salt Lake Police, said they found a man with a gunshot wound dead in a vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation.
