SPANISH FORK, Utah — A 68-year-old Spanish Fork man was killed in an auto-bicycle accident in Spanish Fork early Monday morning, according to Utah County officials.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. when a motorist traveling south on 1200 West struck the cyclist during low-light conditions near 8000 South, said Spencer Cannon, spokesman for the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

A Life Flight crew did arrive on scene to treat the victim Wayne Warner Harwood, but he died before he could be transported to a hospital, Cannon said.
