SALT LAKE CITY – The metro gang unit has arrested its public enemy number one, Jacob Drake Vigil.
Vigil, 23, was taken into custody Tuesday outside Smith’s located at 4100 S. Redwood Road.
Police say they received a tip with information that led to Vigil’s arrest.
He was taken into custody without incident, police say.
Vigil is a member of violent street gang. Police say he has several felony warrants for three counts of discharge of a firearm and robbery.
Vigil is a convicted, multistate felon with prior arrests for assault, robbery, weapons violations, theft and drugs.
