DAVIS COUNTY, Utah — An elderly man is dead after suffering from a medical issue while out on an ATV ride in Farmington Canyon Monday afternoon, according to officials.

At approximately 12:36 p.m. dispatchers with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call that an 84-year-old man riding in beaver ponds area with a group of people was in cardiac arrest. An off-duty firefighter was already on scene performing CPR.

The victim was pronounced dead after medical crews arrived. The sheriff’s office said the man possibly suffered from a medical condition — however the cause will be officially determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of his family.
