COLUMBUS, Ohio – A man set out to get about $10 to make potato salad over the holiday weekend and now has raised almost $10,000.
He goes by the name Zach “Danger” Brown and created a Kickstarter campaign to fund his adventure making potato salad for the first time.
Brown said on his fundraising page, “Basically I’m just making potato salad. I haven’t decided what kind yet.”
Potato salad fans helped Brown quickly reach his goal so he decided to keep upping the ante.
Things really took off.
He has raised more than $8,000 in just a couple of days and it seems there is no end in sight.
When he reached $3,000 he wrote that his kitchen is too small to throw a potato party so he is renting out a hall and inviting “the whole internet” to join in.
