MIAMI, Fla. – Two Florida lawmen are being investigated after getting into a fight during a traffic stop and it was all caught on video.
Florida’s WPLG reported an officer pulled over a lieutenant and a physical altercation ensued.
The officer said the lieutenant was speeding and wouldn’t stop when police first tried to pull him over.
Video from the officer’s GoPro camera shows the officer asked for the lieutenant’s driver license and proof of insurance.
That’s when the lieutenant opened his car door and lunged at the officer.
Several other officers arrived and tried to break up the fight.
According to WPLG, when the officer realized the lieutenant was in the Internal Affairs Unit and a veteran of more than two decades, he allegedly shoved the camera between the car seats but kept recording the audio.
The incident is currently under investigation.
