Dept. of Wildlife wants to hear from you on crow hunting in Utah

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY – The Department of Wildlife Resources wants your input on crow hunting in Utah.

The public comment period started Tuesday morning in the DNR auditorium near 16th W. and North Temple.

This comes as animal welfare groups are trying to stop legalized crow hunting in Utah which would begin this September.

Crow hunting would be allowed in areas where hunting is already legal, like agricultural areas.

The Humane Society and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah have launched petitions.

The groups say they want the DWR to present more data, explaining why crow hunting should be legal.
