TOOELE COUNTY, Utah – The annual Speed Week scheduled to be held at Bonneville Salt Flats has been canceled due to rainfall.
Officials with the Southern California Timing Association said the recent rainfall has left too much water on the salt flats to hold the event, which was scheduled to begin Saturday.

The SCTA board is considering the possibility of extending the World Finals scheduled for October into a full week of racing to create a sort of “delayed Speed Week.”
