HURRICANE, Utah – Police officials in Hurricane announced they have forwarded to the county attorney their investigation into the death of a child who was left in a hot car.
Skyah Suwyn died last month after she was left inside a hot car for several hours.
Hurricane City Police Department officials stated in a press release their office, “has completed and forwarded the investigation into the death of Skyah Suwyn to the Washington County Attorney’s Office. The County Attorney’s Office will be reviewing the investigation.”
Washington County Attorney Brock Belnap said they received the report Thursday, and he said they will be reviewing the investigation thoroughly to determine whether or not to file charges in connection with the death. Belnap said they did not have an estimated timeline for when that determination would be made.
