MYTON, Utah – Officials said an individual died after climbing out of vehicle while it was moving and then falling from the top of the car early Saturday morning in Duchesne County.
Joe Dougherty of the Utah Highway Patrol said UHP assisted on the incident called into Duchesne County officials, and he said the incident occurred around 5:26 a.m. at 2997 W. 8000 South near Myton.
A passenger in a car climbed out of the vehicle while it was moving and got on top of the car. Dougherty said the passenger fell from the car and died at the scene of the incident. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI, Dougherty said.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the passenger’s decision to climb out of the vehicle.
