SALT LAKE CITY -- For a little more than a month, FOX 13 News has worked with generous local sponsors on a Back to School Blast, and Saturday marked the big finish.
Families began lining up at Granger Elementary School Saturday morning to receive the donations of school supplies, hygiene kits and other offerings.
Saturday’s event featured things like free haircuts, health care checks, immunizations and food assistance. Sponsors and participants included Molina Health Care, Sports Clips and others.
Amber Clayton is the principal of Granger Elementary School, and she spoke about the event. See the video above for her comments.
