A group of soldiers stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan said they enjoy receiving letters of support from folks back home, but a four-word message from a young boy stood out to the group.
The boy's blunt message, "Hope you make it", struck the soldiers, who enjoyed the humor of the comment. The group even formed a "Gavin Fan Club" in response to the message. As the story spread, the soldiers decided they wanted to find Gavin and thank him.
The soldiers began searching, and eventually they found Gavin Brint in Indiana after a story was published in a local newspaper. See the video above for interviews with Gavin, his parents, the soldiers and the Sunday school teacher who almost didn't pass his message along--fearing the soldiers would take it the wrong way.
