KEARNS, Utah — A Sandy woman is dead after an accident in Kearns occurred between two cars and a motorcycle Saturday night.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. a driver of a maroon vehicle turning left at the intersection of 5600 West and 6200 South collided with a grey car that was traveling straight.

Unified Police say soon after the accident a motorcycle with two passengers hit one or possibly both of the cars.

The passenger of the motorcycle, Karen Sant, 24, died at the scene.

The 23-year-old driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the grey vehicle, a 53-year-old woman, was also transported to an area hospital in fair condition.

No one in the maroon car was injured.

Police say it doesn’t appear anyone involved in the crashes ran a red light but they are investigating all possible causes, including high speeds.
