HOLLADAY, Utah -- The Jazz Bear welcomed students back to school at Spring Lane Elementary in Holladay Monday morning.
Also at the welcoming committee were Jazz center Derrick Favors working as a crossing guard and new head coach Quin Snyder.
“It’s a great way to start our year and we appreciate them coming and giving their time for us,” said Vicki Ricketts, principal of Spring Lane Elementary. “It’s just fun. The confetti, the string, all of that it’s a great year – we’ll get cleaned up one of these days.”
Bumble, the mascot for the Salt Lake Bees also joined the party.
Members of the Jazz will make two more rounds to area schools including a visit to Nibley Elementary on Friday.
