A man searching for a job said he changed one single word on his resume and it made all the difference.
José Zamora told BuzzFeed he used to apply for 50 to 100 jobs every day and for months he did not get any replies.
He said one day he got the idea to remove the “s” from his name and apply as “Joe” instead.
Zamora said that was all it took to for prospective employers flood his inbox with emails and phone calls.
“I was applying for the same exact jobs, the exact same resume, the exact same experience,” he said. “Just a different name.”
