SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police have arrested a man who witnesses said exposed himself Friday near a children’s area at Salt Lake Comic Con.

Lee Thomas Perry was arrested on Saturday in connection with the alleged lewdness incident. Witnesses said they saw Perry naked from the waist down, walking toward the KidCon area at the convention. KidCon featured performances, exhibits and other activities meant for children.

“They observed Mr. Perry stepping out of the restroom with his pants and underwear down and with his genitals exposed, and so they took note of that. They actually turned their camera on and started to talk with Mr. Perry and got a statement, a quick little statement, from him before he got spooked and actually took off running,” said Det. Cody Lougy, SLCPD.

Police said Perry returned to Salt Lake Comic Con on Saturday, where he was recognized by members of the convention’s security staff, who then contacted law enforcement.
