SANDY, Utah – A man accused of kidnapping, assaulting and raping a woman is facing additional charges relating to a similar but separate incident.
Police said Vratislav Roger Bilek’s new charges are for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance, and they stem from an incident on August 9 where a woman fled from his home to a neighbor’s residence, claiming Bilek had held her against her will. Police officials said there is a $50,000 cash bail associated with the charges.
Bilek is already in jail on a $1 million bail for charges that include object rape, aggravated assault, kidnapping and drug possession. Those charges relate to an incident that occurred September 1, when a woman claimed she had agreed to rent a room from Bilek but later found she was not free to leave.
