SALT LAKE CITY – Police arrested 31-year-old Cesar Hernandez-Cruz after officers say he tried to sell them drugs.
The officers were wearing uniforms but driving an unmarked police car when Hernandez-Cruz waved them over near 550 W. and 100 S.
Police say Hernandez-Cruz asked them what they wanted, referring to drugs.
The officers requested a specific drug and he approached their car.
When he noticed their uniforms he ran but was caught a short time later.
Police say he had cocaine and heroin on him when he was arrested.
