SALT LAKE CITY -- Families welcomed home 45 Utah soldiers at the Salt Lake International Airport after an 11-month tour of duty in Kosovo.
The soldiers were members of the Utah Army National Guard’s 2-211th Aviation Battalion. While in Kosovo the 2-211th provided medical evacuation and airlift capabilities for NATO Forces as they conducted security patrols and worked with Kosovo Security Forces.
They arrived from overseas at Fort Hood, Texas, where strong winds and heavy rains delayed their flight home.
